Who We Are
The Association provides a common forum for identifying common interests to the institutions and determining strategies for addressing such issues for the purpose of improvement of Technical Education and Training in Kenya.
Its membership includes; all institutions under the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives, Ministry of Lands, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Agriculture, Kenya Railways, Ministry of Communication, Kenya Wildlife Service Training Institute National, Youth Service and Private TVET Colleges. Total membership currently is over two hundred (200) institutions following the upgrading of new institutions from youth polytechnics to Technical Training Institutions and construction of new institutions.
How We Work
The Association is a non-political body which always endeavours to promote Technical Training to higher levels in technological advancement. The Organisational Structure of the professional body is such that, the whole country is represented in its management where the National Chairperson is the one who ensures the smooth running of the Association’s Programmes and is the main spokesman of the body. The Secretary General is the Chief Executive of the Association and the National Treasurer is the custodian of the Association’s funds.
